The populations of the 10 most populated cities in the world are given in Table 1.2. We see that Tokyo/Yokohama is the most populated city in the world, with 27.2 million people, while Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires tie for the least populated (in this list) with 11.7 million people each.
