Statistics: Making Sense of Data is a web-based version of the established introductory statistics textbook by the same name, written by William Stout, Kenneth Travers and John Marden and published by Mobius Communications.

The full text of the book is available in .PDF form on the web site, and the book is also available in printed form for a nominal charge. In addition, this web version includes:

1. Box Sampler simulation and resampling software (an Excel add-in)

2. StatCalc analytical statistical software (an Excel add-in). It is a part of Box Sampler.

3. Quiz Manager software for instructor (an Excel add-in)

4. Detailed web outline of the book, with integrated links to illustrations, exercises and software applications: As you’re reading about a concept, a single click takes you to a computer application.

5. Chapter quizzes, with personalized feedback to the student from a Cytel tutor
